On Saturday, April 18th the Global Week for Syria presents a concert in Splendor, Amsterdam’s famous cultural haven for creative Dutch musicians (
Simultaneously with concerts in Beirut, Madrid and Paris, the Amsterdam concert opens the Global Week for Syria.

Global Week for Syria connects Syrian, Arab-region and other international artists during its five-day music festival in Beirut and five European concerts via the online platform SyrianMusicLives. More than 40 Syrian musicians and around 100 international musicians will help spread the Global Week for Syria’s message of peace.

Maarten Ornstein is artistic director of the Splendor concert, that features solo and collaborative performances by Dutch artists including Tony Overwater, Tin Men and the Telephone, The Nordanians, Dick de Graaf, Gerard Kleijn and special guests Ibrahim Kevo (traditional Syrian singer and saz player) and Rony Barrak (Lebanese darbouka player).
